What is GSoC?
Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is a global program that offers new contributors, an opportunity to be paid for contributing to an open source project.
Contributor eligibility
Must be at least 18 years old at time of registration.
Must be a student or an open source beginner.
Must be eligible to work in their country of residence during duration of program.
Must be a resident of a country not currently embargoed by the United States.

What has GSoC to do with Project Finscale?
Muellners Foundation which maintains Project Finscale, is an organization advancing open source technology related to the financial access and social finance.
It may apply to be a mentoring organisation in GSoC program, to upskill youth, and promote diversity in open source industry.
What is Learn Fellowship?
Learn fellowship is an industrial training and mentorship program, which teaches members - product engineering and best practices for open source.
Each year, Foundation invites both individual and corporate applicants from low and middle income economies to join Learn Fellowship.
Learn Fellowship mentors train individual and corporate affiliated members to code for open source projects, maintained by the network. At the completion of the fellowship, Foundation certifies the contributors for product engineering skills.
What is the role of mentors from the Learn Fellowship in the GSoC Program?
In the GSoC program, GSoC contributors work with an open source organization under the guidance of mentors while earning a stipend for successfully completing their project.
Mentors of the Learn Fellowship program are industry veterans in the banking, financial and insurance services, social, climate finance. Mentors add their valuable insights to different project actions.
Mentors who are already part of Open Constitution network, bring best practices of the Learn Fellowship.
Members register for an account by accepting as a mentor for the Foundation listed on the GSoC portal.
Learn Fellowship is a paid program for corporate members and free for students.
NOTE: Foundation waives the Learn Fellowship fees for non student contributors, who apply through GSoC program, and their project proposals are selected in accordance with GSoC eligibility.
